Give your AI client its own email address

Step-by-step guides to connect Claude Code, Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, Gemini CLI and OpenClaw to a Mailly inbox over Remote MCP.

Mailly gives an AI client a real two-way inbox: it can search threads, read mail, save reply drafts and send once you approve the exact text. Every client connects to the same Remote MCP endpoint and signs in with OAuth, so there is no local server to run.

The same three steps everywhere

  1. Get an inbox. Paste the prompt from Let an agent set up an inbox into an agent that can make HTTP requests, or start at mailly.site/onboard. You verify with your own email and confirm the address; the agent then receives the address and your account's API key.
  2. Connect Remote MCP. Add https://mcp.mailly.site/mcp to your client, sign in to Mailly and choose permissions. Grant mail:read and mail:draft for reading and drafting; add mail:send only when you want the client to send after your review.
  3. Verify. Ask the client to list your inbox addresses and recent threads, then send yourself a test email and ask for a reply draft.

Other clients

Any client that supports remote MCP over Streamable HTTP can use the same endpoint. For OAuth, Mailly supports Client ID Metadata Documents for Claude and ChatGPT/Codex, and dynamic client registration for other clients. A client without OAuth support can send Authorization: Bearer <your API key> instead. An API key carries full account access and isn't limited by permission scopes, so keep it in an environment variable or secret store.

Prefer a terminal or scripts? Install the CLI with npm install -g mailly-cli. Building an app? Use the HTTP API and webhooks.
