In short

  • Both let an agent start the sign-up and a person approve it, and both offer an API, an MCP server and a CLI.
  • Botmail (launched October 2026, operated by Exon Enterprise LLC) is a lightweight agent mailbox: the agent claims name@botmail.pro, you approve with one click, and drafts come with a review link you can open without logging in. Paid plans start at $5 a month and allow thousands of sends a day.
  • Mailly is a fuller email workspace: more free inboxes, SMTP sending, 10 custom domains on its $20 plan, a complete web inbox for people, and templates, contacts, campaigns, workflows and hosted agents.

Where Botmail is stronger

  • A cheaper first paid plan. Pro gives 3 mailboxes for $5 a month; Mailly's paid plan starts at $20.
  • More mailboxes and sends per dollar. Team has 15 mailboxes and 10,000 sends a day for $20; Scale has 50 mailboxes for $50. Mailly's $20 plan has 10 inboxes and 30,000 emails a month.
  • More daily sending on Free. Botmail Free allows 1,000 sends a day, though only 25 new recipients a day at first. Mailly Free allows 100 send recipients per rolling 24 hours.
  • Review links without login. You can approve a Botmail draft from a link, without signing in. Mailly drafts are approved in your AI client or the signed-in workspace.
  • Fast human approval. Approving a new mailbox takes one click with a GitHub or Google sign-in; Mailly asks you to verify your email.

Where Mailly is stronger

  • More free inboxes, no footer. Free includes 3 inboxes instead of 1, and Mailly adds no branding to your mail.
  • Custom domains. 10 on the $20 plan, versus 1 on Botmail's $20 Team plan and none below it.
  • A real inbox for people. The Mailly workspace shows every thread, sent message and delivery result. Botmail's web console is an account and billing page.
  • SMTP sending. Point an existing mail library at Mailly; Botmail has no SMTP.
  • Email marketing and automation. Templates, contacts, audiences, campaigns and event-driven workflows share the same inboxes and API.
  • Hosted agents. A Mailly agent can summarize each incoming email with your own prompt and draft replies for review, billed at the model's official token rates.

Which should you choose?

  • Choose Botmail for the cheapest paid mailbox, many low-cost mailboxes with high daily send limits, or drafts you approve from a link.
  • Choose Mailly for more free inboxes, your own domains on the $20 plan, a full web inbox, SMTP, or campaigns, workflows and hosted agents alongside agent mail.
